The short answer
There isn't one price. At Furious Fades, and at most independent barbershops in York Region, each barber sets their own rate based on experience and demand, so the same "Fade Haircut" costs more with a senior barber than with a newer one. The exact price for the barber you choose is shown on the booking page before you confirm, so you never find out in the chair.
Why the price depends on the barber
Most good barbershops let each barber set their own price. A barber with ten years on the clippers, a full book and a line of regulars charges more than a barber in their second year, for the same service on the menu. That isn't a markup; it's the market telling you who's in demand.
It works in your favour two ways. If budget matters, a newer barber at a shop with a high standard is excellent value: the shop's reputation is on every chair. If consistency matters more, pay for the senior barber and book the same person every time.

What's on a barbershop menu
Services are priced from cheapest to most involved roughly like this, whichever shop you go to:
| Service | What it involves | Time in the chair |
|---|---|---|
| Line-up / shape-up | Hairline, temples and neckline sharpened; no change to length | About 15 min |
| Beard trim / sculpting | Length taken down, cheek and neck lines set, sideburns faded in | 15 – 30 min |
| Kids' haircut | A full cut for younger clients, done with patience | About 30 min |
| Classic cut | Scissor-and-clipper cut with a tidy shape | 30 – 45 min |
| Fade haircut | Skin, taper, low, mid, high or burst, blended by hand and finished with a line-up | 40 – 50 min |
| Haircut + beard | Both, with the beard shaped to connect with the cut | 50 – 75 min |
| Hair design | Lines, patterns or logos carved into the fade; added to a cut | +10 – 20 min |
See the full Furious Fades menu on the Services page. Choose any service there and the booking page shows each barber's price.
What changes the price
- The barber. The biggest factor, as above.
- Skin fade vs taper. Many shops charge the same for any fade; some charge a little more for a skin fade because the blend takes longer. A taper is never more than a fade.
- Long hair. Scissor work on hair past the ears usually costs more than a clipper cut, and some shops have a separate long-hair price.
- Adding a beard. A combo is cheaper than booking a haircut and a beard trim separately. If you want both, book the combo.
- Designs. Lines and simple patterns are a small add-on; a detailed portrait or logo is quoted on the day.
- Day and time. Most shops in Richmond Hill don't surcharge weekends, but Saturday slots with popular barbers go first. Book ahead.
- Walk-in vs booked. Same price. The difference is whether you wait.
Tipping and tax
Barbershop prices in Ontario are usually quoted before HST. Tipping is customary in the GTA, with the usual range being what you'd leave at a restaurant, and more if the barber squeezed you in or did detailed design work. Cash and card are both normal; if a shop is cash-only it will say so.
How to see your exact price before you book
At Furious Fades, book online through Squire: choose the service, then the barber, and the price appears before you confirm. No surprises in the chair. If you'd rather talk to a person, call 1-877-FAD-ES4U (1-877-323-3748) and the shop will quote you for the barber you have in mind.

Check prices & bookIs a good fade worth paying more for?
Compare it per week, not per visit. A well-cut skin fade looks sharp for about two weeks and grows out cleanly after that. A cheaper fade with visible bands looks off within days, and you'll be back sooner to fix it. For most people the real saving is a line-up between full cuts: it costs a fraction of a haircut, keeps the edges crisp and stretches the gap between cuts to three or four weeks.
Common questions
How much does a haircut cost?
Pricing varies by barber, based on their experience and skill level. When you book online you choose your barber and see their price before you confirm, or call 1-877-FAD-ES4U for a quote.
How much is a beard trim, and can I book it with a haircut?
Yes — book Beard Sculpting on its own or add it to any haircut when you choose your service on Squire. The price depends on the barber you pick and shows before you confirm. Beards are shaped, faded and lined up so they connect cleanly with the cut.
Can I choose my barber?
Yes — when you book on Squire you can pick a specific barber or take the first available.
How do I cancel or reschedule?
Use the link in your Squire confirmation to reschedule or cancel, or call 1-877-FAD-ES4U. Any cancellation terms are shown by Squire when you book.
